Due to the constraints of the COVID-19 pandemic the a presentation on State of the City by Mayor Warren Lieberman was postponed and eventually cancelled. However communication especially in virtual form took on a essential role to disseminate information regarding the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, recovery efforts and conducting business in the new normal fashion.

On March 1, 2018, Mayor Douglas Kim’s State of the City, “One Belmont” Mayor Kim reflected on Belmont’s recent progress with the General Plan and the Belmont Village Specific Plan, and he discussed his vision for Belmont.
February 9, 2017, Mayor Charles Stone’s State of the City of Belmont, "Embracing the Future". The presentation included: Economic Development, Measure I & Infrastructure, Parks & Amenities, and Community Outreach.
