In 2020, our City Council and staff leadership engaged in a robust planning discussion to help guide and develop a Strategic Plan to lead us into the future.

Through disciplined leadership and guidance, we positioned ourselves on positive financial footing. Through continued vigilance along with intentional and thoughtful decisions about how we provide our quality services, we are still allocating our resources to align with our vision and goals so we can maintain the effective use of our tax dollars.

In 2023, Council and staff leadership again collaborated in productive discussions to address Belmont’s critical issues and update our five Strategic Focus Areas so we could build on our continued momentum and success.

A unified vision for the future uses Belmont’s vision illustrated in these focus areas as its roadmap for action going forward:
