We’re excited to invite students to express interest in the Fall 2025 Buddy Meetups Program—a free, in-person, social development program for neurodiverse K-12 students, supported by
Belmont Parks and Recreation and
BRSSD Opening Doors PTA.
This season includes a casual social outing, a festive community event, and mentor-guided team projects, all led by volunteer teen mentors and supported by a
certified BCBA and two
PEERS providers. The program promotes confidence, communication, and meaningful peer connections through natural social interactions.
Participants will be thoughtfully paired with a mentor based on shared interests, communication styles, and support needs across four semi-structured sessions, designed to encourage authentic conversation, flexible peer dynamics, and social-emotional growth in a supportive environment.
To be considered, complete the interest form by September 7, 2025. We kindly ask parent/guardians to be as thorough as possible in their responses, as this greatly helps us ensure the best possible match during the process. Families will be notified by September 30, 2025 if their child has been accepted and matched with a mentor. Please note priority enrollment is given to City of Belmont residents and BRSSD Opening Doors PTA members.
