City of Belmont to provide temporary bike extension lanes
and designated bike path for Bike To Work Day

On Friday, May 20th from 6-10 a.m., Belmont will take part in the 2022 Bike to Work and School Day.

This year, to encourage and increase the number of people biking to work and school, there will be a dedicated bike route with temporary expansions of bike lanes throughout Belmont.  The route includes the Pathway at Twin Pines Park in Belmont, Ralston Avenue, Alameda de las Pulgas, and San Carlos Avenue in San Carlos, respectively.  Six schools and many residents will participate in this environmentally friendly event.  For safety of all-aged bicyclists, a plethora of safety equipment, signage, and supervision of city officials/authorized adults to ensure safety during the entire bike route.
