Belmont manages City-owned and BRSSD athletic fields for use by youth and adult sports leagues and sports enrichment programs.  With over 10 leagues on the fields each year, maintenance and improvement opportunities abound.  Your donation would help fund materials and site amenity upgrades.

Facilities require costly upkeep year-round. During the day, these facilities are used to provide our recreation programs. On evenings and weekends, they are open for rentals to the community. Belmont’s open space is one of its greatest assets and is enjoyed by a myriad of park users. There’s always opportunity for improvement and projects are underway to improve trail signage, rehabilitate desired vegetation and remove non-native plants.  Your donations would help fund materials and tools for ongoing trail maintenance and improvement.

Belmont has a long history of supporting the Arts.  The City recently adopted a Public Art requirement for commercial and residential developments.   This requirement will provide funds for art on City properties.  In addition to development fees received, the City welcomes donations for public art installations.  More information about Public Art in Belmont is available here.

The Twin Pines Senior & Community Center provides much needed services, classes, and even companionship to older adults from South San Francisco all the way to Redwood City. Its doors have received up to 100 people a day. Your donations can go towards the following wish list:

Belmont Parks and Recreation is committed to making our programs, activities and events affordable for Belmont residents. To that end, we will be establishing a scholarship program to provide financial assistance to eligible participants.  More information will be available soon, but lets start by adding funds into the account to help get this started!

This annual free event will have over 750 in attendance, typically families with children ages 12 and under. The event provides a great opportunity for local partners and businesses to be visible and identified as a supporter of the local community. We ask for a donation of $300 to be a neighbor sponsor or $600 to be the main stage sponsor.  Donors will be recognized on event flyers and digital marketing. Main stage sponsors will also be able to table the event.

Our Fall Movies in the Park series has become one of Belmont's most popular community events. Each year during August and September’s idyllic warm evenings, the Parks & Recreation Department hosts 2-4 movie nights in Belmont's parks and draws an average attendance of 100 families. We seek donations of $150 per event or $400 for the whole event series. 

Donors will be recognized on event flyers and digital marketing and will be highlighted during the movie introduction and announcements the night of the event.

The City of Belmont and San Mateo Consolidated Fire Department are working together to offer a one-day holiday event for children. It’s a free event where Belmont’s children and their parents can play in the snow, meet Santa, enjoy cookies and hot beverages, and donate toys to be distributed to low income families in our city.  The collected toys are then delivered to families by Santa in a firetruck.

We ask for anonymous donations of $100 or more to help provide supplies and toys to the community.
