Annual Fire Inspection Program
In May 2013 the Belmont Fire Protection District implemented an annual Fire Inspection Program which involves the inspection of all buildings used as commercial businesses, places of assembly, apartments and hotels within the Belmont Fire Protection District’s boundaries. The goal of the program is to identify and abate any unsafe conditions and promote a safer environment within these establishments. With the implementation of this program, the Fire District’s Board of Directors imposed inspection fees as authorized under the California Health & Safety Code Section 13863.
In preparation for an annual fire inspection, the Belmont Fire Protection District has prepared the following reference documents for property and business owners:
- 2016 Local Fire Code Ordinance
- Fire & Panic Safety Inspection Program Ordinance
- Inspection Checklist for Businesses & Apartment Buildings
- Fire Inspection Fee Schedule
