Commercial Winner - Local Business -- Tacos El Grullense C&D #4
The nominators said, “Not just your average taco place, when El Grullense made its Belmont debut earlier this year with an eye-catching, sophisticated-looking aesthetic, it instantly improved the drive down Ralston. Its inviting décor catches the eye and its ample parking welcomes visitors. Its food is delicious, too, but for this award, it seems amiss for Belmont not to recognize Tacos El Grullense C&D for bringing a little more beauty to the city.

Residential winners:
Albert of 890 Laurel
Our Public Works staff told us, “Albert keep his little corner of Laurel & Hill pristine. He has numerous challenges which have been thrust upon him including a fire hydrant and many street signs, but he manages to keep those spic and span as well. It doesn't hurt that whenever work is performed in front of his home he is quick to offer cold beverages to whomever might be working that day. Thank you Albert for all that you do.”

Tony Askari of 2280 Ralston Avenue
The nominator indicated this is a, “Well built and attractive new single family dwelling that catches the eye as you make your way up the Ralston Avenue hill. The home is equally appealing in the daytime and at night. We appreciate all aspects of this new addition to Belmont from the home’s exterior aesthetics to the positioning within the slope of the hill.”

1661 Ralston Avenue
This residence is a, “thoughtful reconstruction of a new well-designed home and associated site/landscaping improvements.”

1220 Judson Street
We received an anonymous nomination that simply said, “They’ve done a beautiful 2-story renovation.” And we agreed.
