Traffic Advisories

NNOWe understand your time is precious, so we are planning to provide you with up to date information so you have greater control over your drive, with insights that allow you to discover the best route so you can save time.  

We are bringing you the traffic advisory weekly updates on currently known roadway and related projects, and private utility work (based on street encroachment permits), to provide you an opportunity to look ahead, plan your travel times and check delays due to various street activities.   

 

  South Road/Ralston Avenue Intersection Project
  March 12 - June 28
  8:00AM - 5:00PM

       
 

The Contractor for CSUS will be working at the intersection of Ralston Avenue and South Road next week. Lane closure on Ralston Avenue is only allowed between 9 AM to 3 PM. Work will entail demolishing of median island and installing storm pipes. The dedicated right turn lane from South Road onto Ralston Avenue is closed. Two flagmen will be at site to monitor and direct the traffic during construction. 

 

 

  Sanitary Sewer and Water Rehabilitation Project
  May 29- Fall 2018
  8:00AM - 5:00PM

As part of City’s ongoing sewer capital replacement program to tackle aging and deteriorated sanitary sewer infrastructure and Mid-Peninsula Water District (MPWD) capital improvement program, the City has contracted with K.J. Woods to rehabilitate defective and failing sewer and water mains located throughout the City. The project also includes manhole rehabilitation, sewer lateral reconnections, water valves, water service laterals, and fire hydrants. Construction of the project will begin on May 29, 2018 and is expected to be completed by Fall 2018.

KJ Woods will be installing the (N) 8” water main on Davey Glen Road the week of 6/4. Davey Glen Road will be closed to through traffic at El Camino Real and Middle Road from 8AM to 5PM Monday through Friday. From 9AM to 3PM the left turn from El Camino Real onto Davey Glen Road will be closed.

 

 

 

  PG&E Gas Distribution Project - Sunnyslope Ave and O'Neill Ave
  June 4- mid June 2018
  8:00AM - 5:00PM

Customer Outreach: Customer letters were mailed on Friday, 5/25/18 to approximately 50 customers; customers in direct proximity to the construction will be hand=delivered a letter on Thursday, 5/31/18; an automated call will go out Friday, 6/1/18.

Scope of Work: Deactivate approximately 150 feet of 2 inch plastic main. Install approximately 175 feet of 2 inch plastic main. Replace/transfer 2 services. There will be traffic control in place to maintain safe traffic flow.

Planned work hours: 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Thursday with Friday and Saturdays if necessary.

Mid-Peninsula Water Main Improvement Project (Karen, Mezes, Arthur, South, and Folger)

June 11 - June 12

8:00AM - 5:00PM

As part of the Mid-Peninsula Water Main Improvement Project (Karen, Mezes, Arthur, South, and Folger) , the contractors Stoloski & Gonzalez Inc. along with Bond Blacktop Inc, will be performing FINAL slurry street restoration on all the streets listed next week Monday, June 11th and Tuesday, June 12th from 8am-5pm. The TCP (Traffic Control Plan) is attached for approval and comments. The contractor has submitted notification to the affected residents in the various work zones/streets

Half Moon Bay Paving & Grading - 1533 Vine Street

June 27- June29

8:00AM - 4:30PM

Half Moon Bay Paving & Grading will be out next week, Wednesday through Friday (June 27-29, 2018) to do pave work at 1533 Vine St. The road will closed Thursday/Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm, we are including Friday as a just in case day, the job may be completed as early as Thursday.

 

 

 

Tahoe Intersection Signal Project 

June 25- June29

Traffic control will be provided for the #2 eastbound lane (lane closed 9am to 3pm)
