Measure I Advisory Committee

The Measure I Advisory Committee consists of five members and was established to report annually to the City Council regarding the collection and expenditure of revenue from Measure I, the Belmont Streets and City Services Measure, a ½-cent transaction and use tax.

The Committee’s duties are to monitor and report on how the tax has been spent, to review the annual audit prepared by the City’s independent auditor related to the prior fiscal year’s collection and expenditure of Measure I revenue and cause a report to be transmitted annually regarding the accuracy of the auditor’s findings.  In order to preserve the integrity and independence of the advisory process, Committee members shall not have a role in determining the use of revenue generated by Measure I.
