Holiday Craft Faire Cancelled
For over 35 years, Belmont Parks & Recreation has hosted the Twin Pines Holiday Craft Faire. While this is a treasured annual tradition, our top priority is the health and wellbeing of our community. With the resurgence of COVID-19 cases and the Delta Variant, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 Faire in hopes of bringing it back next year. In the meantime, please browse other available activities and services.

Reach Codes and Our Community
The City is currently evaluating Reach Codes which are amendments to the Energy and Green Building Standards Codes that aim to address reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, climate change, clean air, and renewable energy solutions. In doing so, the City is seeking feedback from our community. Stakeholder input on proposed amendments will provide further guidance toward adopting Reach Codes. How will this impact residents and businesses? Tell us about it by taking the survey! The survey will close September 30th. We highly encourage our residents, business owners, developers, contractors, and anyone with an interest to learn more about Reach Codes and take the survey on at Reach Codes | City of Belmont.

STORM DIVISION
This week, the Storm Division inspected storm drain inlets & creeks. Properly maintaining storm drain inlets can be difficult as inlets often become clogged, causing erosion and flooding. A typical inspection includes:
- Looking for cracked or broken walls
- Root intrusion
- Check condition of metal grate or Manhole Lid
- Check visibility of “Flow to Bay” decals
- Inspect and remove garbage from creeks
As a result of the drain inlet inspections, 41 “Flows to Bay” decals were replaced, and 81 inlets received cleaning maintenance.
