National Night Out 2019 Less Than A Week Away

The Belmont Police Department would like to remind the community that National Night Out 2019 is less than a week away!

This coming Tuesday, August 6, 2019, neighborhoods all around Belmont will be participating in the annual National Night Out event to strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships.  This year NNO events will be held in 11 locations around Belmont, most events run between 6pm - 8pm :

  • Carlmont Shopping Center
  • Alexander Park (Sterling Downs)
  • Belmont Library
  • Fifth & O'Neill (Downtown)
  • McDougal Neighborhood (1816 Fernwood Way)
  • Skymont Neighborhood (Calvary Chapel - 3254 Lori Drive)
  • Hidden Canyon (end of Carlmont Drive)
  • Cipriani School
  • Barrett Neighborhood (Francis Avenue at Francis Court)
  • 1900 Block Lyon Avenue
  • 1100 Block Tahoe Drive

Participating neighborhoods are asked to turn on outside lights, lock their doors, and spend the evening outside with neighbors and police.  Neighborhoods will be hosting a variety of events ranging from small potlucks and BBQ’s to large block parties.  Representatives from Belmont Police, San Mateo Consolidated Fire and other City Departments will be visiting the neighborhoods during the event and will also have displays and information at the Carlmont Shopping Center.

Come out, meet your neighbors and help build a stronger and safer Belmont!
