Contact: Captain Patrick Halleran, Public Information Officer - Belmont Police and Fire Departments (650) 595-7430

An identity theft victim's quick call to police Thursday, lead to the arrest of four suspects, the recovery of hundreds of pieces of stolen mail and a handgun.  While the investigation is on-going, the following is known at this time.

On Thursday, January 3, 2019 at approximately 12:45pm a Redwood City woman called Belmont Police after she received a fraud alert from her bank that her credit card was being used at the Motel 6 on Shoreway Rd. Officers responded and contacted five subjects in the room that had been rented with the victim's card. Subsequent investigation lead to the discovery of hundreds of pieces of stolen mail, several credit cards and a handgun.  Four of the subjects were arrested without incident and booked into the San Mateo County Jail:

  • Nicole Boyer, age 36 of Missouri - Identity theft, fraudulent use of a credit card and burglary.
  • Jennifer Felix, age 35 of Concord - Theft, possession of burglary tools and possession of a controlled substance.
  • Jordan Anderson, age 29 of Concord - Outstanding arrest warrant for narcotics-related offenses.
  • Tyler Goforth, age 35 of Antioch - Multiple outstanding arrest warrants for theft, burglary, identity theft and narcotics related offenses.

The fifth subject found in the room, a 35 year-old man of Bay Point, was interviewed at the scene and released.  Belmont Police Detectives are continuing the investigation, including attempting to contact persons associated to the recovered mail, which appears to have been taken from multiple locations around the Bay Area.

The arrest of these suspects was in large part due to the victim's timely call upon learning she was the victim of fraud. Anyone with information on this case or these suspects can call the Belmont Police Crime Tip Line at 650-598-3000.
