2025 Pavement Rehabilitation Project

The City of Belmont is pleased to announce that the 2025 Pavement Rehabilitation Project has began construction. The project will begin with concrete improvements including the construction of new, accessible curb ramps and drainage improvements. Once concrete work is completed, roadwork will commence. Notifications will be distributed on project corridors ahead of concrete and asphalt work. Please follow all posted signage and use caution when walking or driving past construction sites.

Did you know pavement projects do more than just repave roads?

While asphalt repaving is the main focus of the 2025 Pavement Rehabilitation Project, it also brings other important community benefits. The project will improve pedestrian access, enhance stormwater drainage, and include a stormwater treatment feature.

By law, the City must install ADA-compliant curb ramps when we rehabilitate or reconstruct roads. This means safer and more accessible walkways for everyone throughout Belmont.

Additionally, the project meets regional water board requirements by adding a stormwater treatment element. A bioretention area—designed to filter and treat stormwater—will be built near Alameda de las Pulgas and Forest Drive.

Three Week Lookahead Schedule

 The following streets are included in this year's project:

• Forest Avenue between Alameda de las Pulgas and Cipriani Boulevard
• Coronet Boulevard between Arthur Avenue and Prindle Road
• Monte Cresta Drive between San Juan Boulevard and end-of-road
• Pullman Ave between Covington Road and Ralston Ave
• Ralston Frontage Road between Hiller Street and Kedith Street
• Comstock Circle between Hallmark Drive (West) and end-of-road
• Lower Lock Avenue between Hillcrest Drive and end-of-road
• E Street between Fifth Ave and Sixth Ave
• Shoreway Road between 1111 Shoreway Road and the City Limit
• King Street between Sixth Avenue and City Limit
• Lane Street between Prospect Street and Molitor Road
• Fifth St between O'Neill Ave to Change of Pavement Approximately 100' N/O O'Neill Ave.

The project is funded my Measure I, Measure W, and Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Account (RMRA).
