RALSTON AVENUE CORRIDOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
SEGMENT 1 & 2
The City of Belmont was awarded a $882,036 grant from the San Mateo Transportation Authority Pedestrian and Bicycle Program in the summer of 2016 for the construction of the pedestrian and bicycle improvements of the Ralston Corridor Study Segments 1 and 2. The project will include pedestrian and bicycle improvements from South Road to US 101 on Ralston Avenue.
In addition to the work associated with Segments 1 & 2 the City will also be preforming a feasibility study for lane re-configuration and intersection level of service improvements on Ralston Avenue between Sixth Avenue and Old County Road which includes an evaluation of operational changes to the Ralston Avenue and El Camino Real intersection.
This project is currently under design with construction planned for Summer 2019.
