Did you know Waterdog Lake is named after a type of local species of salamander? A portion is also known as the John Brooks Memorial Open Space, Waterdog Lake Open Space has varying trail lengths and interesting features to explore. Enjoy the many ways to see Waterdog Lake by looking at the trail map. Trailheads are located at: Hallmark & Lake Road; 2400 Lyall Way near Lake Rd & Lyall; and 2642 Carlmont Drive
This location is open from sunrise to sunset.
Outdoor Safety and Etiquette
1. Wheels yield to Heels
2. Announce yourself & stay alert- keep safe speeds, use only 1 earbud.
3. Leave No Trace: Anything you bring, take back with you, including trash. Or better yet, try "Plogging"!
4. No amplified sound
5. Stay on the marked trails and respect any closures.
6. Keep your dog on a leash at all times and pick up after your pet. For the off-leash dog park, please see the Cipriani Dog Park.
