Plateau-Skymont Neighborhood Association

The primary objectives and purposes of this association shall be:
- To encourage and promote the welfare of the inhabitants of that portion of the City of Belmont, California, commonly known as the Plateau-Skymont area to the end that said area and any adjacent residential are the inhabitants of which are admitted to membership in this association, shall have proper and adequate representation before the City Council, Planning Commission, and other commissions of the city of Belmont, in respect to the preservation and improvement of the Plateau-Skymont area as a good residential area of the city, so that said area shall receive adequate consideration in all civic matters and affairs affecting said area and its inhabitants.
- To form an organization of residents of Plateau-Skymont area and any other adjacent residential area the inhabitants of which are admitted to membership in this association, to obtain cohesive action of such inhabitants in respect to problems of said area that may seem to require one or more representatives of this association to present the recommendations and conclusions of the association to public bodies and offices of said city of Belmont.
- To promote closer acquaintances and friendships among the residents of the Plateau-Skymont area and to promote social and recreational activities that may be agreed upon for better living in the city of Belmont.
- To take any action or formulate any policies that may be agreed upon as promotive of the Plateau-Skymont area as a good residential area of said city of Belmont.
- Where feasible, to provide the residents of Plateau-Skymont with information on candidates for local political office, however, it shall be the policy of the association not to endorse candidates for any political office.
