Belmont Police Department
"A Tradition of Service"  

The Belmont Police Department was established in 1926 and is a full service police agency with about 50 full time personnel, 3 reserve police officers, and a large contingent of citizen volunteers. Our goal is to continue “A Tradition of Service by using these resources to protect life and property in our city while providing high quality service to our residents. 

The department has a number of units and specialties including: uniformed patrol, traffic enforcement, investigations, canines, school resource officers, G.R.E.A.T, crime prevention, dispatch, records, evidence technicians and S.W.A.T.
