Community Development

The Community Development Department is made up of Planning, Building & Safety, Code Enforcement and the Belmont Redevelopment Agency, including Housing Assistance. Many of these activities are accessed through the Belmont Permit Center located in City Hall, and increasingly on this web site. Permit Center staff is available to assist property owners, applicants, designers, neighbors and others: Our goal is to help everyone make effective use of the City’s General Plan, Municipal Code, zoning ordinance and development approval procedures.
