Homebuyer Assistance Program

San Mateo County

If you are thinking of buying a home in San Mateo County, you may be eligible for a loan program that is being offered by the Housing Endowment and Regional Trust (HEART) of San Mateo County—of which the City of Belmont is a member—and Meriwest Credit Union. The program helps first-time homebuyers earning no more than $150,000, as well as those who currently own and wish to move closer to transit. The primary goal is to help families purchase a home in San Mateo County with a five percent downpayment. HEART is eager to get the word out to local teachers, police and firefighters, and entry-level workers. For more information:
