Upcoming Election:

The next election will be held on November 3, 2015. Two seats on the five-member City Council will be up for election, as will the City Clerk and City Treasurer positions. Incumbents whose terms will be expiring are Councilmember (and current Mayor) David Braunstein, Councilmember Cathy Wright, City Clerk Terri Cook, and City Treasurer John Violet.

The nomination period for these positions will commence on Monday, July 13, 2015, and will close on Friday, August 7, 2015. If any one incumbent has not filed nomination papers by the August 7th deadline, further nomination of candidates, other than incumbents, for such elective office will be received until 5:00 P.M. on August 12.
