CONSENT CALENDAR
Approval of Minutes of Special Meeting of the Belmont Fire Protection District of July 24, 2012
ACTION: On a Motion by Director Wozniak seconded by Director Feierbach, the Consent Agenda was unanimously approved by a show of hands.
OTHER BUSINESS
Resolution of Intention of the Belmont Fire Protection District to Approve an Amendment to the Contract between the Board of Administration California Public Employees' Retirement System and the Board of Directors Belmont Fire Protection District
Human Resources Director Dino explained that Belmont Fire Protection District employees that will be hired after September 16, 2012, would be subject to the new retirement formula of 2 percent at 50, thereby creating a two-tiered system. She noted that savings will be realized through attrition and retirements. She explained that tonight’s resolution is the first of a two-part process, and the final resolution will come on September 11, 2012.
ACTION: On a motion by Director Feierbach, seconded by Director Wozniak, Resolution 2012-018 of Intention of the Belmont Fire Protection District to Approve an Amendment to the Contract between the Board of Administration California Public Employees' Retirement System and the Board of Directors Belmont Fire Protection District was unanimously approved by a show of hands.

A. Conference with Labor Negotiator, Greg Scoles, pursuant to Government Code Section 54957.6: International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) Local 2400 and Fire Management Unit (FMU).

City Attorney Rennie stated that there were no reportable actions from the Closed Session.
