Theft Call Leads to Arrests for Drugs & Weapons

A call of subjects siphoning gas from trucks at a U-Haul store lead to the arrest of two suspects on narcotics and weapons charges Friday night.
On Friday 9/8/17 at approximately 11:20pm, Belmont Police responded to the U-Haul Store in the 500 block of El Camino, on a report of two suspects siphoning gas from the trucks. Upon arrival, Officers located Joachim Schneider age 54 and Sterling Willis age 35, both of Salinas.
Subsequent investigation lead to the discovery of narcotics including methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine & marijuana as well as multiple weapons including; four handguns (one of which was stolen), two improvised “zip” guns, a Taser, pepper spray and multiple knives.
Schneider & Willis were taken into custody without incident and were booked into the San Mateo County Jail in Redwood City on multiple charges including Carrying a Loaded Firearm, Convicted Felon in Possession of a Loaded Firearm, Possession of Controlled Substance for Sale, Possession of Concealed Dirk or Dagger.
